mystery plug

so while i was making the muffler for my 07 s40 i decided to remove the air box and add a cone filter, swap the petcock for a raptor petcock and rejet.

well i had to unplug some connections when i was trying to clean up some of the wiring and now i have a plug that doesn't have a home and the bike won't start.

it's a two wire plug with green and orange wires. the male end is near the frame by the fender. no clue where the female end is.

i searched and found that the wires go to the generator or ignitor, i think. one diagram was in german so i'm not really sure what it said.

i've traced the wires everywhere and can't seem to find where this plug goes. any help would be greatly appreciated

Those must be the TDC sensor wires, look around the CDI.

start at the stator and work you way around, you'll see it.

will do!
thanks for the heads up.

i've got the whole middle of the bike torn apart looking for this darn plug.

thanks for the starting point, now it's back out to keep looking and try not to break anything, hahaha

found it!

thank you again!

i followed the wires and found that it was hidden inside some other wires that i had zip tied out of the way.

all good now, just need to start tuning

generally i do to. but for some reason, probably laziness, i just looked at the wires i had loomed together and didn't take them apart.

all good now. bike is running. i still need to tune it a bit from the muffler i put on. which i'm probably going to change a little to try to quiet it down. we'll see when i actually ride it
