Almost finished. Need to paint the cream rear fender sides then put the bike back together. Needs some electrical work too (battery lasts 3 months). Different seat this time, going back to 2-up capable. With that huge chik-stik you see propped up with a 2x4. Have to be able to safely haul the 6 year old grand-niece around.

Had to re-insert the pic...I hate photo hosting sites...

Halvor from Norway`s LS.
-I will list some mods wich are not common:
-Fish tail muffler with extra baffle
-O2 sensor with instrument (not complete)
-Ural seat
-Ural "sissybar" the part the passenger hold on to. I might change this with a bended tube ot cut the frame? But maybe it can be used for stunt driving? Hanging after the bike and etc.
- Foam ait filter. It do not work!!! I will change to K&N
- Big universal headlight. Much better than the original small plastic headlight.

THe bike runs well with 150/55 and half spacer.

Wow, firstly I'd like to thank everyone who contributes to this forum! you guys have been a HUGE help to me so far on my quest to be hobby-mechanic  Cheesy

Here are a few pics of my '87 savage as I received her. She has just over 25k miles behind her. I have no real idea how she was treated in a past life, but judging by the shape the forks were in - I'd say not the best.

My plan is to build a sweet bobber.

I have added the kit from the Blue Collar website which was pretty straight forward. I am currently taking her apart to inspect the engine condition (was running fine but has since refused to start). Since it's winter down here in New Zealand I figure it should keep me busy 'till riding season returns.

I haven't finished the paint scheme or final engine configuration but I am feeling very inspired by this thread!

Keep up the great work everyone.  Cool

And here is the same bike with the Blue Collar Bobber kit installed (I know the rear fender isn't there).
