Create your project in RSD

Post a link here to your project, and include a pic... preferably what you want to end up with.

No discussions please, they'll just be deleted by the end of the day.

Okay, here's my RYCA project.  A little different than the rest.  I know, my blog is not a great how-to, it's more for fun.  I'm too tired and don't update it enough.

Hi,
I'm from Lisbon, Portugal and I recently got my Susie ('92 Savage).
I really like the bobber look.
I've been doing some work on it with the help of my good friends from Rocksolid Motorcycles (rocksolidmotorcycles.blogspot.com)
I'm gonna be posting some pics.
This first picture is from the day I got the bike, it came with this lovelly bags.  Grin
Give us your opinion.
Thanks

Mid controls. My wife has short legs and wanted her new Savage to feel more like her old Rebel as far as foot positioning. I made the brackets from extruded aluminum 2"x4" 1/4 wall tubing

This is my 2001 Savage that I have transfomed.  I did not like the passenger seat and backrest, so got a cheap Savage fleabay fender, removed the brackets, welded the taillight, rectifier holes closed, pounded the flat part where rectifier was and made it round again, then a little body work and paint.  Installed a Custom Chrome rack for a Yam XS650, made a tail light/license plate bracket and put a cat eye led tail light on.  Put on S40 rails and Kuryakyn turn signals. Used #8 machine screws and aluminum spacers to make mounting posts on the bottom of the rails to use Rok straps.  Moved the rectifier by the battery, behind the cover, it would get hot so I made slots in the front, rear and bottom of that cover.  Put on S40 risers, some 1" drag bars, and a few other items. Have done the spacer mod and larger jet to go with the Supertrapp and K&N filter.

No set plan, and it'll probably never be finished.  Started with a '96 Stocker.
