New table proposition

Hey,

Wasn't sure if this should be posted here, but anyways.

I was wondering what you other members of the forum would think of a new "table" in the forum called "Workshop" or "Projects"? I personally love to read up on people's savage projects, get some inspiration and follow updates and pictures of builds. Therefore I think we should dedicate a new table for projects only where people can make their own build threads.

What do mods/admins think about this?

It might be better for the end readers to have a dedicated "build" section separate from the "questions" section, but that would probably not be good for the contributors.

When someone has a build going and a snag comes up, they are not going to want to make a new thread just for that, then reference the build thread so any potential question-answerers can read through it, get to the part where the snag came up, go back to the question section, and answer. It is just easier to embed questions/answers in the build thread.

Also, there is only one admin, the mysterious johnH, and it takes an act of congress to get him to change something.. it would have to be a really good idea with many people behind it.

Well let's do a little poll somehow and see if the other members like the idea.

All I'm saying is that I think a lot of people are coming here for answeres and are building/renovating/modifying his/her savage (myself included). A project section would make it so easy for us to just be able to scroll through the projects, see what people come up with and so on. I've been trying to search for build threads but I get a bunch of results, many of them not build/project threads.

About the snags. Let threads be threads and if people want to discuss solutions, ask questions or whatever let em do it. As long as the posts in the build threads are on topic and related I don't see a problem with it.

A dedicated project section would really be appreciated by me and surely many others!

I was about to ask the same thing. I would like to consolidate my build in a forum dedicated to it. The reason why my build is scattered throughout the board is because sometimes I have questions, sometimes I have answers and sometimes I just have pictures so my posts end up all over the place because I don't want to go off-topic.

I guess I'll just start one in RSD.
