With the ones I have tried, the buffeting and line-of-sight problems were worse than a clean blast of air.

I'm with Boule',.. ultra buffet sensitive. (I gets me a headache) I prefer a steady wind...
Also looks better...

My buddy did have a V-Star with a giant windshield once, and it didn't buffet,... but out of about 20 V-Stars, all with fairly big, cop type, shields, only that one bike...
So, it's gotta' be really big... (maybe it's my giant head)...(me and Boule' have giant brains, yunno')...
Huh...
This one...

I picked #1, but it's just a guess. It's the Boulevard version and I love the looks, but haven't been on the road with it yet. Hope to ride 250-300 miles next week. I'll post an update.

I'm just over 5'7", and my OEM windscreen spills air at just about chin level. Not at all uncomfortable, and I suspect it makes hanging on at freeway speeds less problematic. Lately it's been collecting lots of bugs, which means my chest hasn't. I've never ridden w/o it, so can't really comment on the difference, but overall I like it. I agree the bike'd look better w/o.

I've got a 15" Memphis Slim on mine and love it. The bike didn't come with it, and I added it after the first riding season and haven't taken it off since. Actually, I did take if off earlier this year just to feel the difference, and I have to say I prefer having the W/S on especially on the superslab. I felt like I had to hold on for dear life without it, whereas I feel much more comfortable w/o a death grip with the W/S.  Cool

IF I were to get a windscreen, it would be one of those little flyscreens.

Personally, I like the stock s40 windscreen.  It is midway between a flyscreen, and a small windshield.

Stock S40 windscreen on both bikes.  Keeps the wind off my chest, but lets me chew the wind.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

What good is a screen in the wind? Just filters out the bugs..
