So, I got a little further today.
* I added a some steel to mount the seat springs on and to close up where I cut the frame.
* Finished mounting the seat. I added some springs from a bicycle seat. I'm not going to go as far as to say that it was comfortable, but it was actually better than I had feared.
* Side-mounted the license plate and the new tail/brake light.
* Mocked up the fake oil tank. Still needs to be welded and make a battery box in the center. I'm a little unsure if I made the tank a bit big... The left side of the tank will hold the electronics, and the right will be for tools, registration papers , etc.
I borrowed one of my students to model the savage (it should be said that I am both taller and... uhm... wider than him) Various shots of the bike as it stands now I won't get to do any more on the bike until monday.
