Almost sold my S40
03/28/12 at 08:52:51

Have been considering selling the Piglet, and went so far as to list on Craigslist, but after several texts and calls, and one guy came to look at it, I decided I can't part with it.

Looks like you guys are stuck with me for a while!   Smiley

Hmmmm, considering selling, does this mean giving up riding? Maby you are looking at a new Bonneville? HD? C50? Gold Wing? We need more info here. This could be an exciting adventure.

I was thinking the same thing. Didn't go as far as listing it on CL. I prolly won't get as much for it as I'd like. So maybe I'll keep it. I can't decide. I like the C50 alot so the S40 won't get used as much as it should. I hate to see it just sitting there. Maybe after the tail of the dragon trip. We'll see. Glad you kept yours though.

Nothing wrong with selling a savage.  Shoot.. I think I have hung around here longer as an FSO than as a real live savage owner, LOL.

Agree with lukeduck that we'll be curious to see the direction you're headed.

I have had all of the other bikes, and I think that I will stick  with the Savage.  Well, at least for another 100,000 miles or so.  Who knows what will be out there by then?  Maybe even an updated Savage.

Well, I still dream of a Triumph America, dig the Bonnies too, would consider an M50 too.  But here's the real story...

I need a 4-wheeler or side by side.  And I can't seem to get hubby to ride with me anymore!  I ride to and from work, and jaunt around some, but with the camp we are working on, I doubt we will be making any bike trips in the near future.  We got that Samurai, but I understand my limitations (he doesn't so much) and I know I won't drive the Samurai out all the trails and stuff.  Its gonna have to be a 4-wheeler or side by side.  Can't really afford to go buy one, so I considered trading my beloved Piglet.  But I'll just have to find another way....  on that note, he is dozing the trails wider and clearer for me, so something will work out.

Thanks for all the encouragement to keep her!

Four-wheel vehicle with seats, more like a little truck I guess.  Probably called different things in different parts of the country? Some call them UTV's...

 this kind of thing:

Babyhog, my $0.02 worth and that is probably overpaying.

Don't sell anything you enjoy, ride to work is enough reason for me to keep her.  I bought a used artic cat 300 4x4 a couple of years ago cheap.  I am a big guy and that is plenty of machine for going through the woods and hauling out a deer.  the side by sides are more versitale, you can really do alot with them, but they are not near as fun as the 4 wheeler.

I decided what i wanted and watched craigslist, it finally came up.  Be sure to buy from an old man, they have nto abused the bike!  If you see snorkels and such, just keep on going.  But I am sure you know all of this.

I like all my toys!
