Received and replied to the test,......doesn't show it sent, and nothing added to the outbox. A new message won't send either. When I hit send it instantly goes to the home page. I logged off, and back on w/ name and password,....still no send.

On edit,....this may be the 1st time I have used PM on this new windows 7,.......if that could have any bearing on it. But no other problems have come up w/ the new computer.

I can receive but not send PMs on this new Windows 7 premium edition. But all works fine on an older windows 7 home edition. Anyone know what to click or unclick to get it to work ? Routy

Mine still appears to be this new computer problem.
I receive PMs fine on this PC, but I have to reply or send on my 1yr
old 10" laptop.
I talked to PC tech, he first said it had to be a site problem,.....till I got him to shut up,....pay attention to the rest of the story. Now he wants both the computers brought in,.....said its a new one on him.
When I get a chance to do that, I'll get back w/ what I find.

I hope Versal won't mind getting some test PMs from PC tech ??

I can send and receive fine, but I never seem to get an email notification that I have a new PM... Just changed my email address to my current one (even though Gmail still checks and delivers emails from the account I had setup), so we'll see if it changes. Site settings are correct and say that they SHOULD send me an email when one comes in.

Update !
At the PC tech shop,
Inter exp 9 on the new Dell was the culprit. Any computer running Inter exp 8 worked fine.
They tried to downgrade it to Exp 8 but windows 7 won't allow it.
So they switch it to Firefox, and everything works fine now.

What throwed them for a curve is why it would receive but not send PMs,....and they still wonder why. But they said Int Exp 9 gives lots a problems.

Your PC tech must suck... You can remove IE9 from Windows 7... From Control Panel, Programs (Uninstall a program), upper left hand area of that screen you should see "View installed updates". Most of the way down that list, you should see Internet Explorer 9, and it will allow you to remove it.

I'm a computer tech at a local mom and pop shop, IE9 is not something that I install on any new PC I build... Normally even hide the update from displaying... As your tech said, it is known to cause problems.

I'm a bigger fan of Chrome instead of FireFox or IE... But that's just personal preference.

The techs were at Staples service department. They are known to be good.
The problem was not in removing exp 9,.....even I can do that, .....the problem was putting exp 8 in.

Are you sure that the latest 9 is an update ? What I remember was them "downgrading to 8" (removing the update) but that was intterupted by something that come on the screen that he had not seen before. So he called the other tech over,.....he was puzzled too, then said, "put in Fire fox"
From this, I concluded that possibly 8 is history in the latest computers.
At any rate, I'm just glad it works, and that they didn't charge me for messing w/ it for 30 minutes,.......while they were very busy. I hadn't paid for anything but the base price of this computer,.......did the set up myself,....which was a huge challenge for me Undecided

Fairly positive... I've built 100+ computers for our customers running Win7 in various flavors... all of them had IE9 as an important update to install with automatic updates. I have only seen 1 computer where it would not uninstall nicely.

Anyways, you should be able to yank it.

Got an email for the most recent PM that I received. Seems it was related to my old email address being on file.

I had enuff of FF,...I'm back on IE 12 bit. And sure enuff, I can't send PMs again. But so be it,......because that is the only problem I have w/ IE. Firefox was a problem w/ everything, logos bugging me to download a bunch of stuff to get stuff to work, but then wouldn't let me when I tried. Plus it slowed down this new Dell a bunch.
All (except pm) working great now. And I even switched back all by myself ! Yippee !

Testing from my work PC, which I've got IE9 loaded on... Doing the same thing you're experiencing. Will dabble around with it a bit and see if I can sort anything out for you... I'd still suggest just going back to IE8... But that's just me.
