Tank lift?...

Slight modification of the standard seat lift mod...
I've got 2" lift on the seat, and 1' on the tank...  Gives the bike a more standard profile... by using two spacers - one above, and one below the tank tab...
Might be of use to some of you that are working out a non-Ryca cafe look...
I also lock-nutted the whole spacer assembly, so that it stays together and mounted with the tank when I pull the tank... So, no more washer/rubber/tank/rubber/sleeve/spacer/ bolt reassembly... it all stays together, just loosen the bolts...
Note...(the Raptor mod slightly decreases the reserve capacity... this should slightly increase it)... Might balance out...
...not that I really care, as long as the gas is in there somewhere... Huh...

PS... Went to a bike swap-meet yesterday... The bike got a lot of attention, and guesses as to what it was...  Grin...

Oh yeah. There's a spare, minimalist quality to that bike that just looks RIGHT.

Rear fender is off some 70/80's jap bike,... I know it was Japanese because it was stamped on the tailight...(didn't use the tailight).. but, that's all I know.  Got it in a scrapyard...
I think the bolts are around 3",.. not really sure... but, that's close...
Looks pretty high, huh?... Grin... Seat's very comfy that way...
