For some reason, obviously only known by the Savage spirits, I was unceremoniously dumped from the Savage forum after being a member for the past 2 or 3 years. E-mails to John received no results, so much for being an alliance member. Is there any way to get someone to reinstate my former stats? Thanks Mr Hyde :'(

I know that there is some forum setting... some YaBB thing.. that pegs you as a spammer if you do a certain thing (I don't know what exactly) and you have 3 strikes before you're automatically banned. I have blown 2 and have 1 more such strike before I'm out as well. After which I'll make another account as you did, or go away. Blame it on the computer.. Wink

Same here. Still don't know what it was. I was trying to post a response to something and there were no obvious key words or phrases I saw that should ID someone as a spammer but the system gave me two strikes and I just gave up. Sounds like his may be different though. I think JohnH said he was doing some tidying up and maybe some folks who hadn't posted for a while got whacked. I used to have an alternate login I used to occasionally employ (back when I was the only mod before Sluggo started as one, so I could be incognito) but after a couple of years it disappeared.

I'm not too familiar with the software running this particular forum, but that to me seems to point to the account being dumped vs. banned... Banned users are usually left so that the ban sticks... shrug

The last 5 posts seem helpful and friendly; I don't see why Mr. Hyde would be banned. Maybe it just needs a password reset.

We have asked for that capability, to be able to fix account problems like this.. no go. Unless you can reach JohnH, you're SOL.
