What a nice day...
02/19/12 at 15:09:19

Ample sunshine, 60 degrees outside, no wind going. What a day to fire up the beast. I have been not so feeling great lately. I had the flu a couple of weeks ago, had sinus issues since a month, and still have. The bike has been in the shed since three weeks. Had some strong frosts in between here, some snow. Usually I don't let her sit that long. Usually just a week or so tops. But I was afraid that my sinus problems are gonna turn really vicious, I got headaches often from that, so I just didn't dare to push it.
So today I thought I'd at least start her up and take her around the block.
I was afraid after three weeks that she's gonna have a hard time cranking, considering the harsh frost we had a few times. The gel battery is also three years old already.
Anyway, I got on it and rolled her out backwards, put the petcock on prime fir a few seconds then back to on. Pulled the choke to half cocked, turned the key and cranked. Turned over and fired up as if she just ran last night the last time. I was impressed, considering three weeks in the cold and a three year old battery. And I don't even know how old the gas is.
