Fork bushing installation
02/17/12 at 07:21:49
I’m installing new fork oil seals and can’t figure out how to get the metal bushings ( #7, “metal slide” in the parts diagram) back down into place. I looked in the tech and “everything you need to know...” sections, but no answers. The bushings seem to be too big to fit and can’t be compresssed and forced in like the oil seal. How is this done so nothing gets damaged?

You'll need something to drive them in with. Either a professional tool or a piece of PVC pipe.
