Removing the spacer

Hey folks,

Almost through with disassembling the carb.  Every screw has been solvent and impact driver.  Unfortunately, this is also true of the the two little screws that how the infamous white spacer in place.  I've tried lots of liquid wrench, but no luck.  I also can fit the impact driver in there.  Any suggestions on getting those two little crews out?  Thanks.

For years all I have was the 3/8" drive impact driver. Then someone posted on this forum that Harbor Freight has the small 1/4" drive impact driver available. I bought one from Harbor Freight for $4.95 and it worked great for these small phillips heads screws. Make sure you use the correct size phillips head. Good luck.

If those two screws are stuck... it's a booger...
Even a 1/4" impact won't fit down that tube...
Have to use super zen mojo.... and your best tiny tip screwdriver...

I got 'em.  I have a 3/8 inch impact driver from Lisle and i managed to get it in there.  I couldn't see, of course, so I had to fiddle around quite a bit.

This is the 1/4" impact driver from Harbor Freight and it easily fits down inside the carb slide with room to see what you are doing.  I've been using one for years for the specific purpose to getting to those 2 tiny screws that hold the plate over the jet needle
Only $4.99 on their website right now.
