Hey man, hang in there, you can do it!
I was a 2 pack a day smoker when I quit 20 years ago.
I should have had stock in Wrigley's and David's for all the gum and sunflower seeds I went through!
I does get easier though, and it's worth it in how much better you'll feel.
Not to mention it's kinda nice to be able to taste food again.
(And the money you get to keep in your wallet!)

If you can make it two weeks it becomes a lot easier. You probably read all this, but there are two aspects of smoking that you have to get over. The first is getting rid of the nicotine in your system. Takes about two weeks. The second is the habits and rituals you attached to the actual act of smoking. For example, I always used to light up when I got in the car, and with my coffee etc. Long after I was over the nicotine, I would get a craving when I got in the car, or had a coffee. That is the hard part.
Good luck and stick with it.
BTW I am pretty good at quitting- I've done it three times. Grin

I quit for about 10 months a few years back. Was still single, liked to go out, so it didn't really stick too well. I would "only" smoke when drinking..well that doesn't work too well when you drink everyday haha.

Recently married now, much less of a drinker and just figure I need to quit before 30. Still not fun, but I do love the thought of the extra cash, trying to figure out which drag bars I want  Smiley

My company is offering 200.00 for anti smoking aids.
So, how do I get my tobacconist to sell me cuban cigars and list them as anti smoking aids?

Day 3, not too bad yet. Morning coffee had me wanting one bad. Trying out wellbutrin, seems to help a bit so far....and I have gotten a ton done at work already haha.

Yeah, I quit quite a few years back and about doubled my coffee consumption.  I was okay with the caffeine but not the fluid output.  Had to cut it back a bit to about eight cups a day.  Stick with it.  The rewards are worth the temporary anguish.

You ever ask yourself Why you smoke? What would you do if someone was trying to Make you smoke? How do they really make you feel? Smoking is dysphoric, it robs the brain of oxygen. Its nasty & it smells bad. That we could look upon it as a source of pleasure is really kinda hard to understand,,
I think people use a smoke break as a socially acceptabl;e work stoppage, while they regroup & decide what to do next or how best to move forward, understanding that one need not smoke in order to justify stopping isnt so easy, employers dont grasp that, unless its an Official Break, that one 15 minute period in a 4 hour stretch,, & Ive had very few jobs that had those,.

I hope that helps.

Congratulations on making it thru the first
few days. Before you realize it, it will be
a  month and then another and before
too long, a year goes by.
3.5 years ago, I quit cold turkey.
I have no desire to ever smoke again.
Keep yourself busy as that helps as well.
All the best to you. You will feel so much
better if you can continue on this path.
Your going to stay quit, I just feel it.
Best wishes and continued success..  Kiss Kiss kim
