License Plate Bracket needed
02/05/12 at 10:10:25

My plate has cracked on both corners. I don't have a location or ability to fabricate something right now (renting and tools are in storage).

I prefer DIY, but if I have to there's always: Amazon.com: Bell License Plate Frame

Open to suggestions not already mentioned (and reminders of ones I may overlook) in previous threads.

I bought that from Wat Mart when I first got my bike and have not had any problems.  It seems like I paid a dollar or so more, but there was no shipping.

I put an aluminum plate I cut behind mine and put bolts through all four corners, but since you can't fab anything right now you might try flipping an old license plate over and bolting to yours on all four corners.Should stiffen it up enough.

Just wander on down to your local dealer and ask for a plate cover. They'll probably give you one - with their name on it. Then bolt it on with four bolts, and your done.

Thanks for the idea. I do have an old plate around here somewhere. I may even epoxy them together.
