The 10mm nut welded to the back of the set mount stripped out. Any suggestions on the fix?

drill it out and tap it to the next size ,might have to drill the tank tab out the diameter of your new bolt also, if you wanna stick with the same size grind the srtipped nut off and weld a new one on. OR zipties and tape and glue.

That's not a problem,... it's an opportunity...
Drill the hole smooth and install a pair of these... you'll have a quick release seat, no tools necessary...
Wink...

This definitely needs to be in the tips and tricks or tech section if it is not already. Good idea even if the original bolts are not stripped.

It's called a MARINE DETENT PIN...
You can get'em at Ace Hardware, or most any good hardware place...
I forgot what size... just take your seat in, and fit one...
(They're kinda' pricey for a pin).. I just had a couple layin' around that fit...
I added some links from a dog choker so I wouldn't lose them,
...and 'cause I thought it looked cool... Grin...

$10 a pair inc shipping
I'll have to put together a post with all the types I have and let you pick.

You just drill out the threads with a 1/4" drill and pop these in.

It's the side nut on the right side. So just drill it out to 1/4 inch hole and grab two(might as well do them both) MARINE DETENT PINS from carrlane. Or some from verslagen1. Am I correct on this? Just want to be sure cause I'm a poor man. Can't waste money. Wonder if the one in back on my '05  not a split seat.  :'(  . For tool-less removal of the whole seat.

For the side nuts that's right.

For the rear... can't say, you'll have to lead on this as I don't have one.

I would worry about it striking the tire if you bottomed out.
So this would have to be checked.  It might be far back enough that it would never contact.

Here are the pins I have on hand...

The one on the right is the one I'm using.
The black T is a little short but I can make them longer.
The button head is too short.
And the ring handle is the kind I used for my harlet seat mod.
For that one, I bend the seat bracket up a little and drill thru the frame.  And the pin goes into the frame to lock.

So let me know what you want, $10 a pair inc shipping.
