Reply #3 - 01/22/12 at 22:31:33 Nicholas, can't say about hot rodded engine, but I get 52-55 mpg when I'm wicking it and a solid 60 mpg when riding like I should. Carb adjusted to run with Harley muffler, stock jetting, stock air filter.

You do what you have planned and you will run premium only gasoline and you never see 45 mph ever again and will be down in the 30's when running full out.

You will also make yourself up a whole new set of not politically correct riding reflexes and will find yourself commonly accept risk conditions that are simply insane when viewed by your wife or co-workers.

A performance Savage is an systems addictive device. You are getting ready to bite the apple ....

Don't forget the Big Bore high compression forged piston and silicone carbide cylinder treatment ..... oh yea !
Less friction; less heat; increased cylinder life and seizure protection.

You WILL need the heavy duty clutch springs to hold it tight too.
