I just used a section of the old vacuum hose. I stuffed a bit of RTV into it and folded it over, using a couple of zip ties to keep it folded. Has lasted several years.

It's worth the couple bucks to buy a pack of vacuum caps so it doesn't look like that, IMHO. Undecided
