Then, maybe we can get a more current thread going for "readers rides"

I'll start:

Preparing for: Chain conversion, new intake, hardtail frame, new tank, bars, and prolly some other neat-o stuff.

Let's see watcha ridin..........

You dont like the bars? What kind you planning on putting on?

Is that POlitician Paint?

So, you LOwered the bike, then, you were so proud of how it looked, you Strutted a while, then did the forks.. I dont blame ya one bit, it does look good,, its okay to strut.

Did you ride dirt bikes? Is that what the "2 stroke tim" is about?

Surely you havent has 2 strokes,

There is an old, pretty long thread of folks here with their rides,, someone will be along to point the way.
In the meantime, welcome,, you look to be well educated in motorcycles.

Not sure about the bars yet.  I'm thinking something a little taller and more narrow.  The paint is rattle can cover up "who done that" style...

And indeed, my good sir, I have been known to smoke it up.  Currently in the stable are a "few" dirt toys.  My other street ride is an 09 V-Strom 650.

they are the lowball z bars.  The OD is 1 1/4", with the riser mount machined down to 1"

They're pretty wide.  But overall they are nice bars.
Get em here:

Now I def. have to change them................................ Grin

I noticed that you have removed the shocks and your seat isn't sprung. How're your kidneys doing? Grin

The roads around here would have the kidneys screaming & a guy would surely have a jingle in his head from all the pounding.
