about 10 sec into the vid watch the road...it's not always another car that you have to watch out for.

and that is part of the reason why there is the 2 second spacing in the immediate travel path rule.....4 sec intermediate path and 12 second long distance path......if that dude had been riding right on the truck in front of him he would not have had time to see/react to that pipe in the road.........

Watched it 5 times, and saw nothing...

Then, went through hitting play/pause...
It's at 8 secs... the first patch of concrete road.. 8ft of 3" pipe, running lengthwise in center of the bikes lane...
Before the 2nd Willow Ave sign...

Very clear, once you see it..

That's why I always make sure I can see the road in front of the vehicle I tailgate. Smiley

I was pretty lucky last summer cruising on a freeway late at night. There were a couple of cars in front of me that changed into the right lane and did it in such a abrupt manner that I followed them and man am I glad I did! Someone accidentally dumped a bed mattress on the inside lane where I was traveling. Hitting that at 65mph would not have been pretty!
