I've tried skiing a couple times, and snowboarding once. Neither were a big deal to me considering I was raised on snowmobiles from about the age 3. But, my 13yo daughter is very interested in boarding and did it about a dozen times last year, so dear ole dad is going to make the attempt to go boarding with her this year a few times and see if it's any better now.

I never really got into skateboarding, so I can't compare. I have waterskiied and wakeboarded which are both fun in my opinion, and very similar to the snow versions other than you are much more flexible in a swimsuit vs snowsuit  Grin

I worked for a guy in Midland who was an athletic fella. PLayed college basketball & had several wind surfing rigs. He decided he would hit the slopes &^ give snowboarding a try,, busted his leg on the first run.

I've been skiing since I was about 8yo. Tried snowboarding once and just about killed myself. I'll stick to skiing. I'm getting my first snowmobile this year though. Never had an interest in getting one before but I have a snowmobile trail that goes right by my back yard at my new place. Can't wait for some snow now. I also do snow shoeing and ice climbing as well as winter camping. I love the outdoors in the winter.

Been down right cold for the past couple of weeks.
Ol' Sol is working up a sweat keeping it up in the 60's.
But he's going to do him self proud on xmas, going to be in the 70's.
