Posts: 56	fork protector removal 12/14/11 at 20:21:57 Any idea how to remove the vertical black-plastic fork protectors without destroying them or the sliders? I've got the sliders off the forks but can't figure out how to remove the things so I can resuse them.

I cut mine off with a razor blade scraper, just make a little groove, then a deeper groove, then you can basically pull it off the rubber is so soft... I cut em off and put on a Super Brace with the fork guards.

Just tried the "hit it with wood and a hammer" technique and it worked! What a surprise. Parts are totally reusable.
