OK here is my helmet and its the colour I'm painting the bike.
What colour should I do the frame?

I like your color choice a lot.

I'd use a deep metallic brown that would look like a darker shade of the color of the bike.  Dark enough to contrast with the primary color, but light enough to not look black.

Gold.

See how good the brass rivets look on your helmet? That's how good a gold frame would look.

Either that, or black.

Crappy pic the headlight is flat black and will likely be painted the colour of the frame.

I'm terrible with colors, but I've always liked the look of a colored frame; dark brown, bronze, gold, whatever. Anything besides black always looks custom. The black will just look like a stock frame, soI say if you're going to do it, do it in color...

Get a color wheel & look at what is opposite of the dominant color on the helmet.

wow that gold bike looks awesome.   When I tore my bike down last fall I wanted to paint the frame red and when I did I thought it would be too loud in color contrast but now I regret it after seeing a similar bobber in a mag with a red frame.  Definitely not black.  So now I m doing the same thing...tearing her back appart and doing what I should have done.
