Interesting article...

We sold a test batch of pesticide free, chemical fertilizer free pecans this weekend. I had to take today off from work to help catch up on requests for them...

There is a reason we grow our own food, and it isn't  just because homegrown tastes better....

mmmmm wood.....

$5.00 JoG? I remember a "good meal good deal" at Micky D's, ....burger, fries, coke and get change for your buck.

As far as fillers...every burger joint in town claims 100% pure beef. Yet, McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Hardee's, White Castle, Sonic, just to mention a few.....every one tastes completely different. 100% pure beef may be the base ingredient, but that's where it ends. God knows what else is in there. But what ya gonna do, not eat?

Not all 100% ground beef is created equal.
The particular animal it came from can and does make a big difference.
The past few years the ad campaigns have pushed "Angus" beef, which can but does not necessarily mean it is more tender and tastey.
Beef is produced in all sorts of places and with lots of animals.
Your best bet is to look closely when buying fresh meat or go to the best local joint that makes what you like.

yeah the whole angus craze has destroyed good burgers for me, everything is angus, sometimes it's good but mostly it's very very airy which makes it "tender" I guess, idk, I still ask where's the beef
