The forum software might have a setting where the list of most recent posts can be changed, but to change it would require reaching THE MAN, the site owner, and we haven't had any luck.

There are several little problems to fix..  PMs broken, post counts screwed up, authentication error when posting, persistent spammers to ban, threads redirecting to the homepage, etc.  We have sent messages (by PM, email and phone) asking for either the problems to be fixed or for one of us to get the extra permissions, "Admin" rights, so we can fix them as they come up.  

All such requests have gone into a black hole.  Sorry guys, there's nothing we can do.

Also, some of the problems seem to come and go with time, or with different browsers.
