For those of you Ryca guys not on Facebook, here's a photo they posted showing their street tracker seat-fender in the works.

You beat me on posting this, I read they're also making a bobber kit. I think they want to debut both for some sort of show in december. I've been building a bobber but ever since a member in here posted pics of his street tracker build I've been reconsidering. Now that Ryca might make a kit in both styles I've postponed my build. Can't wait!

I'm intrigued as well. I wonder if it'll be more modifications or less than the Cafe Racer. I've already added Rycas clip ons, but I'm down to wait a month and see what these kits bring and see if I wanna incorporate anything...

So it's kind of a cafe/bobber/dirt bike blend kinda thing? My buddy wanted to originally turn my S40 to a board track racer... We couldn't find anytrhing that looked good htough.

When you said a member built a street tracker using a Ryca kit did you mean this one?

That's a great way to put it.
These are street bikes built to resemble old Flat track race bikes. Those were built to race on a flat, oval dirt track. If you've never seen it, you should check it out, it's pretty amazing. There must be some good flat-track racing on You-tube.

And for the record; I think your Savage would make an awesome Board track bike. The one in the link below is not a Savage, but you get the idea. I don't have the tools or the time to do anything like this, but I sure wish I did!

Look up BSA Goldstar flat tracker, it,s the granddaddy of all the street trackers.  They are simply street versions of the real flat track racing machines of the mid century.

Wow.. I love the cafe racer look, don't get me wrong.. but something just seems natural and perfect about a savage street tracker! I was gonna go with a brat/chop/bobber style for my bike after I get a few more miles on it... but now but now I second guessing that idea.. what a tough decision..  Cheesy

Braced + upright handlebars, upswept exhaust, coarser tires, skid plate -- 40 years ago we called those bikes 'street scramblers'. I owned a couple. But that bike in the photo has got to lose its forward controls to be considered a 'street tracker' or a 'street scrambler'.
