Yonuh Adisi changed his out, but can't remember details. Maybe WD had one too? Also seem to remember Voodoo Vintage was designing one. Should find some results if you do a search, just be sure to go back to "all posts". I don't remember much recent talk about it.

Everyone else has been changing the neck out and doing some pretty major overhauling. I'm looking for a replacement to the front end we have now but I don't want to go with something crazy.

So if you find one for that series, there's a good chance it'll fit the savage. Might even apply to all japanese bikes, at least the early ones.
