pics of my project
10/08/11 at 13:40:47

this bike was headed to the scrap yard when a buddy grabbed it up for himself. he realized it wasnt a fit for him so he gave it to me. i brought it back to life and did some cosmetic changes to it. it used to have a set of drag bars on it but liked the look of z bars. i would like to thank everyone for the info i have received from the questions i asked. big thanks to babyhog for the wiring plug i purchased.

heres what it was
here is some changes thru the year.

Get one of those tiny, hyper powerful, lithium-ion batteries and mount it in front of the rear tire underneath the swingarm.  That'll allow you to have all open space behind the cylinder,... a cool look, I think.

I like the rear blinkers, but I was always a fan of a high, centered brake light. Otherwise, lookin' good.
Does the side mounted license plate help prevent it from vibrating to pieces?

thanks for the comments, it is still a work in progress.
gyro: i was thinking along the lines of a battery in that location, but before i was able to get to it the riding season here was upon me, so i went with what i did to be able to ride.

drums: i used to have the factory tail/brake light in the hole behind the seat and liked it but came across the cateye for a decent price and it has a license plate light so i can ride at night now. the turn signals were donor parts as were most parts on the bike.

denim: i got some ideas from pics of your bikes that helped me along the way. Cool

I would like my bike to look alot like that when i finish with it.
Well i haven't even started yet, but i like it alot!

How was the rear fender mounted on?
And How much did it run you? After the initial price of the bike?
Just the extras?

i have about 600 dollars wrapped up in it now. the fender was mounted using the stock hole location with spacers. im going a different route with the fender this year. hopefully make one out of fiberglass.
the bike was free to me. the only money i have put in it were for tires, battery, handlebars, cam chain, fender and a few other things i cant remember. a lot of parts were donors from buddies of mine
