What a bike!  I love this thing.  I rode 575 miles from Maryland to Ohio a couple of weeks ago.   This bike is so comfortable for me, just a complete joy to ride.  I'm not exactly sure but I think it got a little over 70 mpg, handled the freeway just fine and all the twisty roads I traveled as well.  I'm looking forward to many more trips on it.  Just had my first tire change, the rear.  I have 984 miles on it, can't wait to get to the 10,000 mark!

I would need to do some more modifications before I could survive that distance on my Savage.

I'm 6 foot tall. The bike is pretty cramped for me in the legs. I could REALLY use some forward control extensions. I even have a Mustang seat and couldn't imagine my butt lasting longer than it did on my recent 200mile ride.

Why did you have to change your rear tire?  Puncture?

I thought he meant 984 miles since the new tire change, not that it was changed at 984 miles.

Yep 984 and still have the original front tire.  Took a bit of a ride today and passed the 10,000 mile mark.  This is so exciting to me.   But before I got out of my driveway which is steep, gravel/mud I got to the bottom to shut the gate and wasn't paying attention, put the kick stand in mud and down she went.  Another plus for this wonderful bike, I did not have to lie on the ground and get grubby to pick it up, I was able to get it up  and was on my way.  I need to figure out how to post some pictures, I tried yesterday but they wouldn't download.
