so i lost a stock peg in my first lay down. i bought new pegs that promised to be compatible, but the hardware is standard whereas the savage is not. anyone know how to fix this problem, or have pegs and hardware i could buy?

He even drills them out for you! I've not put them on but they look nice.

What you do is take the stock hardware to the store. Get a replacement bolt. I used a washer and a steel sleeve on each on. The sleeve helps take up the empty space the new bolt leaves in the peg. I will send you a pic of mine soon as I can dig it up. I had the same problem, broken peg after laydown.

Those look like the pegs I have on my highway bars. If they are, I wouldn't suggest them as regular foot pegs, only because the rubber bands tend to roll out of their grooves pretty easily. Just a thought....

sounds like AZSGT may have his solution anyway but I do like the looks of the first pair tho'...do you have your feet slip off the hiway pegs you use?

Ooooh, I like the looks of those!
I don't use my highway pegs a whole lot, but once I had the bridge of my foot on it, tightened my leg and pushed a little to adjust my "buttocks position" and I felt the little bands roll, and my foot slipped. Not really a problem because I wasn't putting that much weight on them, but still... Normally I just rest my heels on them, and they don't roll very much that way. But having them in place of the actual footpegs, I would bet they would be slick and roll easily. Its a little hard to describe, maybe someone else can chime in. Or maybe I can get a pic.

Those would work if you want to pay his price...I bought 2 pairs of used ones just like it for about $20 including shipping and all I had to do was get a new SS bolt and spacer for each peg and they bolted right up.
BTW, here is another used one I just found for a much better price.
