Symptoms:
Pouring rain. Parking lot-like traffic. Sputter, catch, die.
So there's the symptoms, I was driving to work in the rain (heavy) when I got on to the freeway it was a parking lot, stop and go is optimistic at best. I was on there for five to ten minutes before the bike did the above. I pulled over, cranked her a few times and she'd catch then die, then she just turned but wouldn't catch. I could smell gas so I let off for about five minutes and tried again. She started up, I gave her a rev and she died. I started her again and keeping the RPM up I took an over pass that allowed me to hit a couple lights instead of heading through a tunnel, the traffic was lighter so I made some okay headway. Got back onto an on ramp and started sitting in the same traffic, after a couple minutes, still keeping the RPM up, she seemed to miss once so I reved her up again, 10-15 seconds later she missed again, reved her up again, but this time it was too late and she died again. I pulled over and called a friend to come pick me and Nessy up. When he got there, she started no problem and I drove her up the ramp.
Any one have any suggestions?
