For want of a few $$$ worth of safety equipment.. & some basic maintenance,.,


Tyler Stone said the camper is supposed to have a smoke detector that can also detect carbon monoxide, but the one in the camper his father was in apparently was not working.

I need to learn from this,,

That's only a 3-4 hour ride from my place. Didn't know the event was going on until the news story came up about the deaths.

Even new carbon monoxide detectors don't always work.

Mom would never let Dad light the furnace in our camper when we went camping as kids, she was always afraid this would happen.  Of course it's older than I am; it doesn't have any kind of detectors or alarms. Sad
