I posted a thread earlier this week about how I was hit and run while I was riding... Well, after laying the bike down, I have a left footpeg that very closely resembles an L. Making it very hard to shift. I've been looking around online for a set of new ones. I've been looking for something smaller, slimmer, more like a bicycle peg, not so rubbery and fat. Anyone have any suggestions. Thanks for any help.

Those will work as highway pegs if you have an "engine guard" to mount them too.

Go with Bot's suggestion. Pegs with that style can be easily modified to fit these bikes. You can either drill the hole slightly larger and use the stock bolt or get a different bolt and bushing to fit the stock location.

It looked like crap so I twisted two railroad spikes and welded the original footpeg ends on. Looks cool and rides much better.

I put them in a vise and heated them with a rosebud. Twisted them 1 1/4 turns with a large adjustable wrench when they were cherry red. Then I cut them to length and welded the original foot peg ends on. I have made knifes out of RR spikes also, but they were polished to a mirror finish.

I've already wasted $45 on footpegs that wont work. Anyone have any suggestions as to something that will. There are some gnarly stock ones on Ebay.

I used some 45 dollar O ring style pegs intended for a harley.

The little screw on our bikes that hold the peg are just a hair larger then 3/8". I had to widen the hole a little, then took a hammer and punch to get the bolt to go through the hole in the peg. I then used a 3/8" washer on one side, and a smaller washer ( was a bit thinner ) on the other to take up the slop. Its now perfect.

Buy an effing drill bit and a few washers, and make it work ! Just dont buy any of the clamp style pegs unless you have crash bars to mount them to.

I recall another user stating they didnt like these because the orings actually sit in grooves and can move. Thats 100% accurate, but i dont much give a shiest. I got the extended ones which have about an extra inch on the length. Much better than stock IMO, and now i can just angle my boot outwards after shifting, rather then having to MOVE my entire foot up/back.
