OR maybe my carbs needs rejetting to let more gas in now that its not a vacuum suction of gas but a falling into the carb kinda deal with this manual petcock????

Definitely,... nope...
The vacuum don't work that way...

Did you block off the vacuum tap on the carb?...  needs to be blocked...

yes sir, I fixed bought a rubber nib from auto zone and got it blocked off.

i just took it on the freeway for the first time and I noticed it won't go passed 75MPH

now Im wondering whats up...

maybe the oil is bunk???
im gonna open up the oil filter and see whats going on,

could a pinched O-ring be the cause of this??

Even if the vacuum port was not blocked off, (it for sure should be) that would not cause your lack of hi speed power.......

neither will the type of oil......

neither will an oil filter gasket......

and as you found out the hard....rather expensive way,...neither did the vac petcock,.....even tho it could have. Too bad you got caught up in the "vac petcock paranoia syndrome", but at least now you won't have to worry about the petcock starving the bike for fuel. And as long as you don't forget to turn it off, you won't ever see your carb overflowing into the oil in the crankcase either.

Lacking hi sp power ? Hard to say,.....but did you try choking it a click or 2 when under WOT ? It mite be running lean, but I would think it would be surging then too. If choking doesn't improve it, maybe its running too rich.

Have you adjusted your rear brake lately?

Sounds stupid, but on our bikes you need to reset it "loose" when doing freeway miles as opposed to "tight" for when you are in close quarters in town.

The tight city setting gives great response time, but it does drag some at high highway speeds.  When it drags, it is limiting your gas mileage and upper end speed as it is constantly wasting engine power.

You wouldn't think it makes a difference, but it does.

I'm  burfuffulled... Huh...

If your analysis is correct,... something has changed...
The Raptor won't do it,... and neither will the oil... no pinched gasket...

... unless your jetting was so wrong, that fuel leaking down the vac line was correcting it...(don't count on it, seriously)... (jetting would have to be massively altered)...

So,.... what is different?...
...is your air filter clogged,... or drowned in gas?...
.. check your gas tank vent... (listen for sucking sound when you remove cap...
... check that your wheels spin freely...

I don't know... but think about what you've done, and what might be changed...
Keep us informed... Wink

holy moley...my rear break IS tight...quite a bit I say...

SO ima get on this right now and see how it helps...

but good news is...seems like my bike settled to the new oil or what ever is up with it...and it seems to back to normal for the most part.

ima take it on the freeway after i adjust my brake see how it preforms...

also, im digging the raptor so far. cold conditions are no longer a problem.
but warming up has gotten a bit longer. haha
