Rear brake light switch

does anyone know if the rear brake light switch is inter changable through the years? mine is an 86, and i have nothing at all as far as a rear brake light when using my foot brake. the only thing that is there is the rear brak line, nothing else.

+1 That looks like what I have on my '87.

UPDATE.... Looks like there are two different switch types between early and later models. See link to Parts Fiche below. But bet you could make either work on any bike. Wink
