1997 LS650-Trouble shifting to first from neutral

I just purchased this bike and I'm having issues with shifting down to first. All other gears are fine. When I push down I hear a little clicking noise. Any clue?

Thanks.

ease the clutch out a smidge and it should drop in.

What Bubba said. Most bikes do that when standing still. Mine does it. Not all the time, but often. Nothing wrong with the bike.
