Left Hand Switch

OK, a couple of questions.

Asking for my information.  My '87 does not have the push on the turn signal to cancel the signal feature.  When was that added and would it be a direct swap if I got a new switch unit?  It is a little bit of a pain to get the thing right in the middle so the flashers stop.

Asking for a friend.  What year did they add the flash to pass feature on the headlight switch?  Again, is that a direct swap for a bike without that feature if we got a new unit?  His unit is cracked and since he was upgrading, wanted to go that route.

Thanks alot.

Have you thought about autocanceling signals?  Here are three of the many gadgets available:

I can usually remember to turn them off.  And if I forget, I am old enough to not let it bother me.  My trick is getting the little slide to go back to the center, not too far and not quite far enough.
