saddlebags and brackets...

i'm finally buying some throw over saddle bags to fit under the back seat.  do i need to buy the metal brackets or are those for just mounting hard case saddle bags??

You definitely need to buy the brackets. They keep the bags away from the wheel and sprocket. Or you could do a search- some have made them.

will the s40 brackets fit on the ls650 or do i need ls650 saddlebag brackets?

S 40 brackets will definitely fit on a Savage.
