Only 2 makers as far as I know of, TKAT and Superbrace.

TKAT is machined billet and very think/industrial looking, inexpensive.

Superbrace is available through multiple retailers, either polished or chrome (not sure which), more expensive.

I don't have one, but those who do swear by them to tighten up the front end and make it more sure-footed.

I ponied up for the Superbrace, because it looks better. I was expecting some minor improvements in handling but I was pleasantly surprised.
Road snakes and paving grooves are smoothed out to the point of hardly being felt anymore. No more "loose" feeling in corners. Tracks through rough patches better. And it seems to me, and I don't know why, that it is less sensitive to side winds.
If I'd had known, I would have got one as soon as I bought the bike.

How much is it?

I do not have pics of it installed, there may be some somewhere and I do not remeber the price. I hardly remember what I did yesterday.

It seems to me (that means my opinion, eh?) that the "chunk-of-machinery" look of the tkat aesthetically is more in line with the functional look of a cafe racer.

They don't take credit or paypal, I paid by personal check. They just asked me to specify s40 or ls650 in the order and that was it.
