I have been thinking about a fork brace since a while now, but I can't get friends with the thought to get rid of the bug deflectors. We got a lot of bugs around here and I don't want the fork seals to get tore up by that.

If you clean your bike on a regular basis, then it won't be a problem. I've had my TKat for 4 years and I haven't had any problems (and I don't wash my bike very often).

Especially on night runs, which do often in summer because of the ridiculous heat in OK, whenever I stop for a smoke or gas I clean the fork tubes and the headlights at least. In some areas around lakes especially, you're getting  into what it feels like an machine gun assault. Millions of bugs hitting you and the bike without warning doing highway speeds. NICE  Grin
