K&N Oil Filter

Hi, I was wondering what kind of oil you use with a KN-137 oil filter? Can you use the standard Suzuki SW-50 oil? Thanks.

Weird, because I used 2.5qts of SW-50 and my oil gauge window is completely full when the bike is level... with a normal filter it would be in the center like it's supposed to be...

What "normal filter" have you used? Does Fram make one that fits the LS650?

I was just using the generic oil filter from the Suzuki store.. when I first got the bike it needed a change, and I had to special order the K&N...

The only thing I can think of is that I don't have the K&N oil filter seated completely straight, or either the K&N just doesn't require 2.5qts of oil?

And yes, I did drain the oil first  Cheesy

I've driven it about 2 miles to see it the levels would change, but it's still full.
