Awesome pics! It looks like you had a great time. I would love to do a get together ride someday. Right now I have enough issues trying to get a ride together with just my inlaws and there's only 4 of them that ride! Grin

Great Pics. Looks like a great ride. Anyone know how many miles it was? Nice scenery.

Don't remember how far Dj and Kim rode down to the meeting point, a couple hours I think? Undecided  I had 40 miles, and Stinger had maybe another 15 or 20 more.
From the meeting point, it's about 53 miles each way, to the end of the road and back.  Of course it took about 4 hours I think, what with all the sightseeing and visiting! Grin

I didn't enclose the duplicate shots like John took.
I want to thank the guys and Ms. Suzuki Princess,
for a wonderul day..
I had a blast and like the guys, was nice putting faces
to names.
Again we picked the absoulute most beautiful day.
It was windy yet a warm day.
John sorry you got sunburned.. Hope your face
is feeling better now.

Today the sun never showed itself. Guess it showed
up too much yesterday..
Temps were 15 degrees cooler as well.
Ok the guys I am in the process of planning the next
ride.. Already have talked to a couple friends that ride
non Suzuki bikes to join us..
Thanks again for a memorable, fun, enjoyable day.. Hugs
to all of you and special ones to Ms. Suzuki Princess.. Smiley

Oldfella, start calculating..   Wink kim

Calculations complete ......

Most pictures taken, NW
Most cute scenes, most beautiful flowers, NW
Best/cutest girl pics, NW
Best volcano, NW

You win for best short calm scenic ride, hands down ...
You win for best first ride as you all made it there and back safely with no pavement/mountain side events and you had a blast doing it.

For the time span you wanted, August 1 through Oct 31 you look to be the Undisputed Winner so far.

=========================

As the "follower up" ride for the summer, the Dragon gets a few positive mentions as that ride has a slightly different character.

Most miles ridden (by a factor of 10+), Dragon
Most twisty & dangerous roads ridden, Dragon
Highest average trip speeds achieved, Dragon
Best decrease in crash/damage numbers, Dragon
Best decrease in bike related breakdowns/failures, Dragon
Best decrease in square inches of skin lost, Dragon
Most Hurleys, Beemers and Goldwings hunted down and taken, Dragon

.......... and finally

No scenic flower pics and other similar items, Dragon

Now, please don't take this the wrong way -- on the Dragon trip we ride more round trip miles on any given day jest to go get dinner than you folks did in total (including your miles to get there too).

We ride fast and hard and accept a level of risk that precludes any picture taking unless done with a handle bar or helmet cam.

We also have a long established rule at the Dragon Run about pictorial evidence, not collecting any that is.

So yep -- you win !!!

You will win next year too !!!

Plans are in the works, Dj..
Thinking Hurricane Ridge. That is up above
Pt. Angeles, off Hwy 101..
Got to make sure I give John plenty of notice so
he can make it too.
Stinger should be able to make it too..
Hurricane Ridge offers up some great
twisties and views that are post card quality..Smiley kim

Looking forward to it, I've never been out in that particular area.  Hopefully we get good weather again for it!

Yeah me too.. This marine air should move out sometime soon..
I will keep a check on the weather reports for that area as well.

We may able to get a 2 for 1 ride in.
Depending on how tired we all may be after going to the
top of Hurricane Ridge, we could do the 101 loop.. That
goes around Hood Canal and offers some great scenery
as well as some twisties.
I will be in touch.. Smileykim

I'm still wanting a Park Way Ride ...

Anybody want to suggest a date ?  Week day are usually better motel rates, and less road traffic.
