Put new pads on today.

I know it's yawn, but I made it an adventure this time. I re ordered a set of Vesrah organic pads #VD329. Last set took about 15 minutes and lasted 5,400 miles. I decided to change fluid and made it last about an hour. I think I wore out my brake light switch pumping the brake lever.  Grin I used DOT 4 fluid. I rarely use the rear brake. Is this about right for mileage? I'm happy with the pads; just wondering.

I just changed mine.  It was down to about 1mm left.  This set got me about 4000 miles.  I'm in sf so lots of hills.

I got about 3500 out of my last set. They were the EBC OE replacement ones.

My bike is in my signature.  Almost all of my riding is urban.

The OEM pads lasted 3500 miles.  I replaced 'em w/ Ferodo Platinums, those lasted 4100 miles.  I replaced THOSE with EBC Organics.  The EBC Organic pads CURRENTLY have 4500 miles on them.

So, your last set of Vesrahs lasted longer than each of my first two sets of pads.

The Ferodos are supposed to be really good. I usually ride secondary county roads or hwy. My town is so small I can get through it with one stop sign and the only red light is sometimes green. That may account for my good mileage. I do use the front mostly by itself.

the stock pads on my '07 had to be replaced for inspection'08 with about 4,000 miles.  I don't remember what brand i used but they're still on.  i'd say about 13,000 miles on them .  i was kinda surprised they passed this year, but i looked myself and there seems to be a decent amount of material left
