Sidestand problem ?
07/20/11 at 23:50:11

Hi!

This morning, during the daily go-to-work ride, my engine stopped.
I pulled over, took a look around, but everything seemed ok. So i've jumped on again, started the engine, prepared to go, but when i've put it into gear it stopped again.
So, this is the problem - the engine stops when i try to go the 1st or 2nd gear, from neutral.
I thinking this might be a problem from the sidestand electrical contact, because it behaves exactly like it would if the side stand would not be pulled up.
What do you think?

Thanks!

Sounds like you are right, sidestand issue.  Is the stand all the way up?  Springs get weak, maybe something is jammed in there, stranger things have happened.  Maybe the wires are unplugged, broken, shorted or something.  That is where I would start checking. I think you can jump across the wires and see if that is the problem.  I am sure someone will chime in with more and better ideas.

Check the blue wire under the tank.

there are a few issues with the diode in that circuit..
you can bypass  by tying the two wires together
