I cannot seem to remove the headlamp trim ring from my suzuki s40.  I have removed all the other screws except one that is connected to some wiring.  Please help me out on how I can get this trim ring off.

I'm new to this forum, just joined after having crashed my 05 s40.  There are a few things I should be able to replace at home, but I can't seem to do it.  I'm new to motorcycles and would appreciate all the help I can get on here.

It has a twist lock at the top edge...

Turn it about an inch... Wink...

EDIT... did you remove the two screws at the bottom backside of the headlight bucket?...

I remember the first time I pulled mine off it was stuck tight! I had all the bolts removed and it still felt like I was missing one, I just had to pull it off like it's supposed to come off and wait for it to break free. Just be gentle.

All factory installed fasteners use locktite about the equivalent of 'red'

impact driver and proper support are recommended normally
alt. method is to grab the head w/a pair of vise grips and pray.
