Saddlebags/Pack Options For a '96
07/19/11 at 12:13:55

Looking for some soft saddlebags with optional pack or a large sissybar type pack to put on the missus' 96 Savage.

Does not appear to be anything really out there on the interwebz and I spent hours looking.

Anyone got any ideas or something you have now or used in the past that would work?

I just bought a set of saddlebags from Walmart. 39.99, nice for the price. Then I noticed they had a backpack/sissybar bag, pretty big, for 29.99. I think the sissybar may be a little short for the sissybar bag. Pretty good stuff though.

Walmart had these in stock in my local store.

Great find! I have the Willie and Max Warrior saddlebags on my bike, but I definately want to check out that Sissy Bar bag. There is a Walmart about 20 miles from where I live, based on the Walmart website that supposedly has it in stock!

No idea how all my web searches never came up with J&P cycles. That's the mother load of luggage options.

We have a couples of smaller trips this year and a trip to the Carolinas from Illinois next year on our bikes.

Went with the Walmart saddlebags and a Kuryarkun Grantour Bag

Thanks for the help and links y'all. Very much appreciated.

It actually isnt as big as it looks. The whole top part unzips and she has frogg toggs etc in there. The main compartment is only as big as to fit her FF helmet so really not that big.

However it is extremely secure and very well made. We have some week long bike trips planned so the room will be utilized I am sure.

This here is my sports/tourer.

So yeah we have plenty of room with both bikes for week+ bike trips.

The missus does pretty good even though she is not happy only having the r/h 45 liter case on my bike when 2-up touring. Now the kitchen sink may well be included seeing she now has the room.
