I've never taken my petcock off to remove the tank...even with the stock petcock. Just have to wiggle it and hold your tongue JUST RIGHT and the tank will come off with the petcock attached.

With the raptor petcock you can easily remove and install your tank without removing the petcock. Don't even have to drain the tank, just turn it off.
