Versy, I can't see what the threads are screwing into, but that looks a lot like an ATV tank. The Hondas are like that. HTH

Does the Raptor petcock work as a manual petcock like this modified stock one or will I be able to leave it on when I shut off the engine?

It's ok to leave on if you trust your float needle. The Suzuki tank has two threaded holes to attach the petcock. Your tank is not stock according to the photo you showed us.
