Another S40 Price Question (Read 88 times)

Posts: 36 SW MO Gender:	Another S40 Price Question 07/11/11 at 16:15:56 There's a 2008 S40 advertised on the Joplin, MO Craigslist for $4250, 100 miles, engine guard, looks real pretty. The KBB price is $2770 retail and $1870 trade in. How far off is this guy from being realistic? I'm just starting to look and need to get some idea(s) of realistic prices for used S40's. tks.................mojo

You can probably fnd a leftover at a dealer for less than that. But I don't know your situation or prices in your are, so it's definitely up to you. No matter what you give, someone will tell you they saw one for $500 with 30 miles on it and new Corbin seat.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm not quite ready to buy. Need to sell a couple of things to generate a little more cash and free up some storage space. My first thought about that ad was I could probably buy a new one for close to his asking price........I like cafdad's deal!
