RYCA jetting poll

The RYCA kit set-up is a K&N pod air filter and an EMGO 17" Reverse Megaphone Shorty muffler.

Please tell us what jetting you are running with this set-up.

Main jet? (150, 152.5, 155, etc.)

Pilot Jet? (50, 52.5, 55, etc.)

Did you do a white spacer mod? If so, what?

Air/Fuel mixture screw - Number of turns out from all the way in?

Your approximate elevation above sea level?

This is a Ryca tuning thread -- be nice to the Ryca folks as they figure it out now that their pieces are here and put together into bikes.

Mine is 155/ 55 jets and just shy of 3/4 turn out. White spacer is 1/2 the width of the stock one. Elevation here in Wisconsin around 800 feet. I would say it runs decent. No backfire or pop at shutdown. It does pop with downshifting and rarely pops with shifts. I could probably tweak a little here or there but its got good acceleration, slightly fast idle, and good top end. I might try and tweak the idle a little bit, but for now it runs well.

On my Ryca at sea level started with 155 main/55 pilot which was too rich. Set the air/fuel mixture screw at 1.5 turns out and tried to find the slower-RPM points by turning the screw in and then out, but there was little difference

I did the crumb cup mod (1.5" stainless steel) fitted with four sheet metal screws to the baffle exit.

Went to 152.5 main/52.5 pilot per RYan Rajewski's recommendation. Engine did respond to air/fuel screw settings and set it at 2 turns out. Getting 50-55 mpg. Only a poof at shutdown.

Don't know white spacer mod status as I have good throttle response, so it seemed unnecessary.

Bike is running good and starting right up (little or no choke in this hot weather). My only complaint is even with the extra crumb cup baffling and Moose Racing exhaust packing it's still too noisy for my tastes.
